Educational Management Information System (EMIS) includes a set of formalized and integrated operational processes and procedures by which information about multiple educational institutes and evaluative output are regularly shared, integrated, analyzed, and disseminated for educational decision making and planning process. It strengthens the overall management of multiple educational institutes while facilitating planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as follow-up strategies to address the requirements of quality management and central administration.
The Software Architecture of the EMIS is a modular System with different possibilities for extensions and consists of 13 main modules:

Overall system is a platform independent web based solution (except finance module). All individual institutions have their own independent servers containing all the information of the respective institution. These are designed for independent operations and to connected to a central main server and database contents of independent servers are exchanged and matched daily with the relevant part of the EMIS Main Database Server.

Targeted users of the system are; Tertiary vocational Education & Training Sector, universities, schools, and other education Institutes. Pilot Targeted user group selected was 10 institutes under the Ministry of youth Affairs & Skills Development (MYA) umbrella;
